Another Great Week part two

Popped down to Shingle Street for SEO's but not sign.
But in the mist spotted a BARN OWL perch on the hay bales

The decided to check out the beach for birds, got half way to East Lane when I spotted two late WHEATEAR's

Then I made my way back to my car and started to rain when I spotted a STONECHAT a hard to find bird in Suffolk this year.

Now lets see what the Strong winds forecasted for Sunday night brings in !!

Fantastic Saturday at Bawdsey and Shingle Street

Last Saturday turned out to be a fantastic day for me first at Bawdsey with Mark Cornish.
20+ Ring Ouzel's, 40+ Redwing, 2 Fieldfare and too many Song Thrushes to count!!
Only managed to get a few pics of RING OUZEL's

these two hiding

Then Suffolk Bins texted that a
GREAT GREY SHRIKE had been found at Shingle Street so off I went and found it

RED-FLANKED BLUETAIL, PALLAS WARBLER and SHORE LARK

Well this week turned up three life ticks for me!!

First at Sizewell a RED-FLANKED BLUETAIL which was very hard to photograph, never staying still the main reason for this was 2 Robin's giving him a hard time.

Then at Landguard a SHORE LARK

Went back today and in the rain his horns were showing

Before rain

Then on Friday Eddie and I were on the way to Sizewell when Suffolk Bins texted about a
PALLAS WARBLER at Minsmere just past the Sluice bushes, so we diverted there were we found it with the help of John Grant
