Red Deers at Minsmere

On Friday I was in the Bittern Hide at Minsmere when this Hind and Fawn walked right up to the hide, allowing me to get some great shots.

A young Stag and mates turn up just after
 (strange shaped horns)

Great Hobby day at Minsmere

Friday started off windy and wet at Minsmere, but the Hobby's made it a Great day. Decided to go to Bittern hide to shelter from the rain, three Marsh Harriers were hunting quite close and a Bittern flew and landed out of sight. Then the Hobbies arrived 4 of them feeding on the Dragon flies and perching right next to the hide giving me some great photo's

Flying shots very differcult with 500mm lens too heavy hand held and did not have my 400mm with me

Lakenheath Fen RSPB and Weeting NWT

Decided on Thursday to try and get a better picture of the Golden Oriole at Lakenheath Fen
 (No Luck with them?)
But as I was entering main reserve a Jackdaw decided to join me, flew right onto my shoulder down my arm, he was with me for a while, till he nipped my ear.
Great Little Fella

Sitting on my camera
Later on found this little Garden Warbler
(lost his tail feathers)

Then on to Weeting for the Stone Curlews
they were not very close so heavy cropped photos

Then he surprised us by flying over the hide

Just outside the hide was a pair of Spotted Flycatchers feeding young in a nest.
