Desert Wheatear at Lowestoft

Travelled to Lowestoft on Friday morning, for the Male Desert Wheatear, it was pouring with rain and wind was blowing, but when we got to the little fella was still there and when the rain stopped he turned out to be amazingly confiding.

 

 

What a Fantastic Bird !!!!

Gedgrave Ravens and Short Eared Owl

Popped to Gedgrave to see if I could see the Raven's that had been found by Mark Cornish, after a long wait they turned up if some what distant.

 

 

Also after Mark left a Ring Tailed Hen Harrier turn up, you can see him in the back ground of the very distant photograph.

 

 

I went back to Gedgrave a couple of days later, saw the Raven's again very distant so no pics. But two Short Eared Owls turned up but never close and the light was awful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First Snow Bunting of the Winter for me

Had a very enjoyable day with a great little Snow Bunting at Slaughden, found by Mark Cornish today.

 

 

Also several Rock Pipit's

Hoopoe moves to Framsden

The very confiding Hoopoe that was at Kessingland has flown South West and is making it's self very popular birders and Photographers in the tiny village of Framsden.

It's now even more confiding!!!

I would also like to thank all the residents of Framsden for putting up the hoards of birders and photographers over the last few days.
