HAVERGATE ISLAND AFTER SEA SURGE DEC 2013

The wife and I took a walk round the sea wall at Orford today, the damage and flooding on Havergate Island is bad, the sea wall at Havergate was over topped in several places causing bad flooding to centre of the island.

Shingle Street in all conditions!!!!

Well what a week it's been, what with the tidal surge and the wind, but Shingle Street has produced yet again.

On the way back to car spotted 10 Snow Buntings near breach in sea wall

When I got back to the car, found the road closed, so decided to see if the Short Eared Owl had survived to flood

and on Wednesday afternoon

And today (Saturday) my first Brambling of the winter
