Another Great Day at Upper Common Hollesley

Met up with Eddie Marsh late Friday morning, sun was shining so all we did was some birds
 (feathered kind)
and they arrived!!!!
Coal Tit
 (Eddie spotted this one)
This next one was high in a fir tree
Then the Crossbills again they are pairing up now and are harder to find, this one had a lighter head and dark back he also kept pulling the cones off take them away to get the seeds out

These males are much lighter in colour
Then after Eddie had gone Mick Vince kept me company and more birds turned up.
Yellow Hammer at the top of a tall tree

Then Female Redpoll
As we were leaving at dusk this raptor flew over my car, I believe it to be a Hen Harrier I have seen one here about a couple of months ago what do you think???

Minsmere and the Anglia TV Interview

It was raining, so Minsmere was favourite as I could shelter in the hides, went to Island Mere after I had been there for about 2 hrs, Ian Baththrope turn up with a Anglia TV film crew (Amanda Houston  & Kate Prout), after they had finished with Ian, they talked to me about the Otters that I had photographed and filmed last week. They ask me if they could film it for the TV, also asked if they could use my video in the programme. Fame at last I thought so I said yes, it should be on Anglia News on Friday or next week.

Gloomy Wednesday Afternoon

Late Afternoon went back to Upper Common Hollesley to see what I could find, it was very overcast, not much at first, met up with Debra & Kenny Pickering who were also trying to find a bird to photograph, had a nice long chat but birds etc; then carried on for a walk on my own and I finally found the Crossbills, took below pictures, the quality was no way as good as Saturdays pictures of them, it shows what a difference the sun makes.

See Saturday the 21st Jan for my best Crossbill photos
