Iceland and Norway Cruise stowaway's

Just got back from a Great Cruise to Iceland and Norway, we had a great time.

I have never seen so many birds hitching a lift on the ship Common Rosefinch, Barred Warbler, Willow Warbler, Reed Warbler, Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff, Lesser Whitethroat, Redstart's, Whinchat's, Wheatear, Meadow Pipit, Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher, White Wagtail's, Ash Headed Yellow Wagtail, Woodlark, Knot, Purple Sandpiper, Curlew, Sparrowhawk and 7 Kestrel's

Here are a few I managed to photograph.

Decided to give the Kingfisher another visit

 

 

Osprey, Whinchats and supporting cast

This week has been a great week for birding, first a visit to Hazelwood Marsh and finally got to see the Osprey it some what distant (3/4 of a mile away, so only record shots)

Whilst photographing one of the Whinchats, this young Stoat popped out of the grass right in front of me and walked right up to me and sat on my shoe and started to nibble my tripod, I only managed to get these out of focus shots as he was too close for my 500mm lens
