Cuckoo's and supporting cast at Hollesley RSPB & Minsmere

It's been awhile since I posted a blog, so lets catch up with my last couple of weeks.

First of all found three Cuckoo's at Hollesley RSPB.

 

Also at Hollesley

 

Young Mistle Thrush

 

 

And a rather showy Reed Warbler

 

 

Also a visit to East hide at Minsmere

 

Little Ringed Plover

 

 

Common Sandpiper came close

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Black Kite and Cuckoo

We travelled to Norfolk for the Franklins Gull, which we missed by 10 minutes.

But when we were driving through Wrentham we spotted the ringed Black Kite flying right over the road and it landed in the playing field.

 

 

It was playing with a bottle top!!

 

 

Then to Hollesley RSPB were we found two young Cuckoo's

 

 

 

 

 

 

Great time in Norfolk

Travelled up to Norfolk for the Spotted Crake (another life tick for me). I the way we spotted three Little Owls perched, one stayed long enough to get a couple of pics.

 

 

Then on the Titchwell for the Spotted Crake.

Had to wait nearly two hours for it to appear
