Lots of dull days and one bright day - Slavonian Grebe, Waxwings and Great Northern Divers

Well the last couple of weeks have been very dull and windy, but we did have one bright day.
Went back to the Waxwings at Reydon








Also two Great Northern Diver on river Orwell at the Strand, dull day and distant

Went back on Wednesday and finally some SUN the difference was amazing













Also loads of Barnacle Geese were present

Woodbridge Market Hill and Christmas lights (not a bird in sight!!)

Decided to take some photographs of the Market Hill of my home town of Woodbridge, whilst the Christmas Lights were up

Birds in Christchurch Park

First we checked to see if Mabel the Tawny Owl had returned to her usual hole in a her usual tree, she was there sleeping with one eye open, she has been in the park for several years now.

After saying hello to Mabel, we walked down to the Wilderness Pond, where three female Goosander's were present, it's getting a regular event for 2 years now, last year one shy female was present.






Also in the Wilderness Pond was a lovely pair of Mandarin Duck
