REDWING's at Ipswich Hospital

Spent two dinner hours at the Ipswich Hospital taking photographs of at least 20 REDWING stripping the berries off a Rowan Tree, lucky for me the sun decided to shine.

Popped down to Shingle Street for a couple of late afternoons for the SHORT EARED OWLS

Two different OWL's in the same field on two different days

Popped down to Christchurch Park in Ipswich to photograph the GOOSANDER which was on the Wilderness Pool.

The on the way back to the car, spotted MABEL the TAWNY OWL was sleeping in here usual tree

 

 

Waxwings finally arrive!!!

The WAXWING's have finally arrive 7 turned up at Martlesham this week.

North West Suffolk and Norfolk Hawfinch & Crossbills

On Saturday Eddie and I decided to give the Two barred Crossbills another try at Lynford.

 

No Luck but found a winged barred variant Crossbill (record shots only)

 

 

Also 2 HAWFINCHS were very briefly in Paddocks (distant shots)

 

 

Then on to Spinks Lodge near May Day Farm for Parrot Crossbills, no luck but several COMMON CROSSBILLS

 

 

Also GREAT SPOTTED WOODPECKER, LESSER REDPOLL and NUTHATCH
